The FTB peers and pros network reaches further every season, and this year is no different.
With an epic crew on board, of both coaches, and return campers, 2011 promises to be a year of fun and development for everyone involved. Our coaches are some of the best riders in New Zealand, proving and pushing themselves, at home and abroad. Check out the line up.
Luke is an extremely talented snowboarder who has proved his cahoneys on the North Island competition scene. Swapping the badge of Snowplanets' head freestyle coach for a winter in Wanaka to pursue a career in snowboarding, we're stoked to have him on board with FTB. Look forward to seeing how things shape up for Luke, and we know he has a lot to offer his peers, as proven in his former role.
This man can do no wrong. He continues to dominate any competition he enters. Just when you think you’ve seen the best of him, he’ll blow you away with a new slopestyle combination. Whether it's hiking, hitting park jumps, shooting photos or shooting the breeze, Tom is always Mr Nice Guy and is ready to help your grommies live up to their potential!
He's R.M.B. A mysterious half-man, half-cyborg orphan, raised in the outskirts of civilization, RMB's first trip down a mountain was on a tree branch whilst outrunning an avalanche*
*May not be 100% true, but he is awesome on a snowboard, and a great role-model for your kids!
Leroy has really come up the ranks of snowboarding in NZ, and worldwide. From the cheeky Ohakune grom of the early millenium, to the sure-footed stompin' Snowpark ranger of today. Leroy knows what it's like to be young and trying to make it in this sport of ours, and he's truly passionate about making sure new blood get what they deserve, and know how to go after it.
Associates and camp councillors
F.T.B is proud to count some of New Zealand's best pro's and bro's among our ranks, as well as all the positive crew who attend camp, and add to the Real Deal snowboard experience. We wouldn't be here today without our sponsors, an awesome troop of helpers and stand-in coaches, and in 2011 we're honoured to have their support and assistance.
Nick Brown, Rob Mitchell, Maia Stier, Rhys Boberg, Captain Dodge at Radio Zero, photographers like Tiff Morgan and Tommy P, who keep a record of our triumphs and adventures, and all our friends in Ohakune who keep the vibe alive well into the warm weather.
And, the brands who are keeping us sliding, warm and protected from the elements this season - Drake Snowboards, Electric Visual and Grenade, Gloves. We wouldn't bother with anything but the freshest and most solid gear on the hill, and this lot comes up true through all of our gnarliest attempts at destruction!
So, thanks y'all!
